Magallanes Athletes Shine in Judo and Swimming at XXX Binational Games

Judo and Swimming were the disciplines that returned to Magallanes with medals after participating in the XXX Binational Games of Araucanía 2023, which were held in the province of Río Negro, Argentina.

In the instance, the Seremi del Deporte (s) Carolina Herrera, the Director IND Magallanes, Héctor Serka and the Governor of Magallanes Jorge Flies, highlighted the athletes, their technical bodies and the support received from the Regional Government to strengthen the preparation process for this competition. In turn, technicians and coaches were awarded.

Finally, it was reported that for the XXXI version of the 2024 Binational Games, Magallanes will be a sub-host in the cycling and soccer disciplines.

Swimming:

1st place, Elena Aros obtained three gold medals in 50, 100 and 200 meters breaststroke.

Judo:

2nd place, Anahí Pérez (-48), John Madrid (-55), Rafaella Alvarez (-57), Guillermo Pérez (-66), Ignacia Mayorga (-70); Carlos Quinchén (-90 kilos),

2nd place for men’s teams and women’s teams.

Swimming:

2nd place Camilo Molina obtained two silver medals in 50 and 100 meters breaststroke.

Judo:

3rd place, Ian Godoy (-60 kilos).

Swimming:

3rd place, Digna Agudo obtained three bronzes in the 50-meter backstroke, 50-meter freestyle and 100-meter butterfly.

3rd place ladies 4×50 m relay. combined and free.
