The French international left the field this Tuesday evening during the Aston Villa-Manchester United match.
Aston Villa’s French international defender, Lucas Digne, was injured, supported by two members of the medical staff, at the start of the second half against Manchester United on Tuesday in the English championship.
The 30-year-old left back appeared in pain, unable to put his foot on the ground, after visibly injuring his leg while making a defensive tackle. He was replaced by Alex Moreno in the 50th minute. Digne has played in all of Aston Villa’s league games this season, with the exception of a match against Brentford on December 17, where he was due to serve a suspension after accumulating too many yellow cards in previous matches.
