Los Angeles Rams Sign Veteran Kicker Mason Crosby to Practice Squad Amid Kicking Woes

THOUSAND OAKS, Calif. – The Los Angeles Rams signed kicker Mason Crosby, who played his entire career with the Green Bay Packers, to join their practice squad on Wednesday.

Crosby, 39, could become the third kicker to play for the Rams this season, given Lucas Havrisik’s recent troubles.

Crosby played for 16 seasons with the Packers, being the player who scored the most points in the history of the team with 1918. The Wisconsin club, however, decided not to offer him a new contract at the end of the last campaign.

He is 11th in NFL history.

Havrisik has missed two field goal attempts and a conversion in the Rams’ last two games, having made just 70 percent of his three-point kicks since replacing Brett Maher in late October.

The Rams will visit the Baltimore Ravens on Sunday.
