LFP Disciplinary Committee Verdict: Suspensions and Sanctions for Ligue 1 and Ligue 2

The Disciplinary Committee of the Football League communicated, as every Wednesday, the last of the calendar year 2023, its verdict on the various incidents concerning Ligue 1 and Ligue 2 matches, this time for the 16th and 17th days of Ligue 1, before the winter break. The high authority of the tricolor round ball did not spare the expelled players: four suspension matches (including one suspended) for Le Havre Rassoul Ndiaye and three (including one suspended) for his teammate Samuel Grandsir, involved in a fight with Jean-Clair Todibo from Nice.

The latter was also heavily sanctioned with three firm meetings to take place in the stands. Croatian defender Dejan Lovren, having received a red at home against Nantes (1-0), will miss OL’s next two games. Given the seriousness of the facts, the LFP Disciplinary Committee decides to put the case under investigation.

The decision will be made at the end of the session on Wednesday January 17, 2024, at 6:00 p.m., during which the instructor will submit his report.

The next meeting of the Disciplinary Committee will take place on Wednesday January 10, 2024 at 6:00 p.m.
