Caracas FC announced this Tuesday that they had reached an agreement for technical director Leonardo González to remain in charge of the team for the 2024 Liga Futve season.
The Ávila reds hope to maintain the great performance of the 2023 harvest under the direction of teacher Leo and thus be able to seek the title that eluded them against Deportivo Táchira.

The information was made known by the team through its account on the social network X (former Twitter), where they shared a video with the strategist’s best moments.
“Leonardo González is still in the red,” the team wrote in the publication, showing the excitement they feel at having him back on the bench.
The team also issued a statement in which they detail that they are confident of being able to conquer a new Venezuelan soccer star under the direction of González.

“For us, the continuity of Leo (González) was a priority after a great year that we almost managed to crown with the star. Nothing can tarnish the season the team had. The coach with a very clear idea of what Caracas Fútbol Club is, knew how to manage and reinforce the institution’s project, which is to give prominence to the young players from the quarry,” said the cub’s sports manager Miguel Ángel Mea Vitali.
“The team’s goal is to continue betting on this group of boys who gave us a lot of joy in 2023 and we know that 2024 will not be the exception with Leo (González) at the helm. Caracas will always go out to compete in the tournaments it will face,” he highlighted.

For his part, the technical director thanked the Avilanian management for the support for keeping him in this position and stressed that they will continue working to improve the team’s weak points.
“It is an important challenge that we were able to take on last year, we managed to be in the final and this year it is going to be more difficult. We know that we are in the most important institution in the country,” said the DT.
“The club’s project is to bet on young players, to promote many kids from the quarry, because in minor categories they are the ones who work best, and this year is not going to be the exception. Some specific players are going to come for those who are going to leave,” he concluded.
