Moments of tension before the match: an ambush on the vehicles that were taking Bologna supporters to the stadium. Some bruised people

There were moments of tension before the Lecce-Bologna match, ahead of Sunday lunchtime on the 14th day of the championship. On the Via del Mare of the Apulian capital, a stone’s throw from the stadium, the buses of the fans of Thiago Motta’s team (with around 400 people in total on board) were stoned by the Giallorossi supporters. A sort of ambush. In fact, some hooded people emerged by surprise, surprising the rossoblu fans who certainly weren’t expecting such a welcome.

The bus was then hit by a stone throw at a roundabout very close to the Lecce stadium, where the match would shortly begin. A violent stone throwing that only the intervention of the police managed to stop, averting the worst. Furthermore, according to an initial reconstruction, some Bolognese fans were bruised. Two people from Lecce were stopped and taken to the police station. The officers who intervened on the scene are now trying to understand the reasons for the sudden attack on a Sunday morning, which everyone hoped would be calm. With a championship match between two teams who are doing well at the start of the season. On the one hand Lecce with its 16 points; on the other, fifth-placed Bologna who even dream of Europe with Thiago Motta.
