A total of 24 teams will compete in the pre-Olympic tournaments with a venue, in addition to Valencia, in the cities of Piraeus (Greece), Riga (Latvia) and San Juan (Puerto Rico).
In this year’s World Cup, seven countries joined France (host) and obtained a direct ticket: Germany (champion) and Serbia for Europe, Canada and the United States for America, Australia as the best placed in Oceania, Japan representing Asia and South Sudan through Africa.
Lebanon will reach the pre-Olympic competition after finishing in 23rd place in the world championship thanks to two victories and three defeats.
