Le Havre-PSG: it will be without Marquinhos, still in the recovery phase

No bad news for PSG before challenging Le Havre this Sunday (1 p.m.). On the eve of its trip to Stade Océane for the 14th day of Ligue 1, the capital club carried out its traditional squad review of its injured players.

The closest to resuming, Marquinhos, “continues his adapted program”. The Brazilian defender, victim of a small injury to his right hamstring with his selection on November 21, resumed racing last Sunday before his teammates’ draw against Newcastle in the Champions League (1-1). PSG had estimated the treatment period for its captain at 10 days. The deadline has now expired. Marquinhos is not present in the Parisian group for this Sunday.

Also injured during the international break, but more severely, Warren Zaire-Emery continues his “work with the medical staff” according to club press release. Hit in the right ankle, the young prodigy from the Parisian environment will be absent until the end of 2023.

Concerning those absent for a longer period, Presnel Kimpembe must carry out a “surgical check-up in the coming days” after his Achilles tendon operation at the end of February. Portuguese left defender Nuno Mendes continues his “care protocol”, announces the club. The only slight disappointment is that the fourth goalkeeper in the hierarchy, Alexandre Letellier, has to take exams following “pain that occurred during training”.
