Vikings: Joshua Dobbs remains starter

Despite a poor performance in the loss to the Bears, Joshua Dobbs remains the starting quarterback for the Vikings. It was Kevin O’Connell who announced it at a press conference.

After two consecutive defeats, the Vikings seem to be losing ground in the race for the playoffs. But they decided to continue to trust Joshua Dobbs rather than Nick Mullens or Jaren Hall.

The good news for Dobbs is that he should find Justin Jefferson (WR, Vikings). For the first time since his injury in Week 5, the receiver practiced normally on Wednesday. He therefore seems to be able to make his return this Sunday against the Raiders.

Von Miller expected to play despite accusations

Accused since last week of domestic violence, Von Miller should still play this Sunday against the Chiefs. Brandon Beane, the Bills’ general manager, explained in a press conference that he did not expect Miller to be placed on the commissioner’s exempt list, as can be the case in such situations.

As a reminder, an arrest warrant was issued against the player after accusations of domestic violence against his pregnant partner in Dallas. Von Miller turned himself in to the authorities, before being released on $5,000 bail. No complaint has yet been filed against him.

Pro Bowl: Tua Tagovailoa leads the votes

The NFL announced this Wednesday the first results of fan votes for the 2024 Pro Bowl, which will take place in Orlando, Florida. The leader of the votes, if elected, will not have a long journey to make since it is Miami quarterback, Tua Tagovailoa. He is ahead of rookie CJ Stroud, Christian McCaffrey, teammate Tyreek Hill and Travis Kelce in the top 5.

The event will take place on February 1 and 4, like every year, the weekend between the conference finals and the Super Bowl.

The NFL doesn’t want to see staff members attack players

After the altercation on Sunday between Dre Greenlaw, the linebacker of the 49ers, and the head of security of the Eagles, Dom DiSandro, the NFL was quick to take the lead. Wishing at all costs to avoid seeing this type of scene happen again, the league sent a note to all frankness regarding this situation.

“The NFL playing rules and our game operations policies clearly prohibit non-playing personnel (coaches, trainers, equipment personnel, security guards or others) from making physical contact, taunting or direct abusive or insulting language towards opposing players, officials or any other person involved in the match. If an altercation occurs, club staff must allow coaches and game officials to handle the situation, with officials evaluating appropriate sanctions, with assistance from the league office if necessary. Under no circumstances should club staff interact or make physical contact with another club’s player(s) or any other staff member. »

A clear call to order from the league. Regarding Sunday’s altercation, the NFL has not yet made a decision on possible sanctions against Dom DiSandro.
