The Los Angeles Lakers have been involved in multiple reports about their possible commercial activity until the market closes. And a new objective for the organization has emerged in the last few hours.
According to the journalist The Athletic, Shams Charania, the Los Angeles franchise is closely following the situation of Dejounte Murray. The Atlanta Hawks have fallen out of positions ‘play-in’ after passing the first third of the ‘regular season’ and they would be testing the idea of dispensing with their services to reinforce other positions on the staff.
Chicago Bulls forward Zach LaVine has also recently been involved in trade rumors with the Lakers. Charania notes that the Lakers will most likely have to give up several first-round picks and at least one notable player, such as Austin Reaves, to land a player of Murray or LaVine’s caliber.
The new four-year, $120 million contract Murray signed in July will take effect next season. The Hawks are below 50% winning with only 12 wins in 29 games and currently occupy eleventh place in the Eastern Conference. Meanwhile, the Lakers have a record of 17 wins and 15 losses, which places them in ninth place in the West.
