Kolisi, world champion with South Africa, visiting L’Équipe: “I want you to be happy after meeting me”

Approaching L’Équipe headquarters last Friday, December 1, Siya Kolisi honked his horn heartily when he recognized the small welcoming committee waiting for his arrival to show him the parking lot. All smiles, the captain of the Springboks, double world champions in 2019 and 2023, spent almost two hours at the newspaper, curious about everything and multiplying selfies, one with the Ballon d’Or (“The real one?” – Yes, the true), another with his coaches at Racing, Yannick Nyanga, Dimitri Szarzewski and Frédéric Michalak, with whom he came face to face in a corridor (a photo of the three of them, very moved, during the anthems at the 2007 World Cup ). From Walter, the master of the eighth floor, Kolisi ordered two cappuccinos, probably to warm up, he who refuses to look at what the temperatures are in Cape Town at the moment. Comfortably ensconced, he was ready to revisit his life and career in thirteen images.
