KCS Team Shines at 31st International Odenwald Cup: 8 Starters, 10 Medals, and 3 Prizes!

Eight starters – 10 medals and 3 prizes – an excellent end to 2023!

Mörlenbach/Speyer. Last Saturday, December 2nd, 2023, our club took part in the 31st International Odenwald Cup. This traditionally closes the competition year. This year the KCS team delivered excellent results.

428 athletes from three countries took part with a total of 552 entries. Eight athletes from Karate Club Speyer demonstrated their skills in the kata and kata team disciplines and won 6 gold medals, one silver medal and three bronze medals. To top off the day, three additional technology awards were presented to the KCS athletes during the award ceremony.

In the discipline Kata Individual:

1st place and technology prize went to Sophia Schmidt (U12), Henry Kölsch (U12) and Christian Häuser (U14).

Filip Gorny (U8) also took first place.

Bronze went to Simon Häuser (U8), Charlotta Borgwardt and Kathrina Schmidt (U12).

In the Kata Team category:

Kata Team Minis children

1st place – Team “Mix” (Maria Dommel, Henry Kölsch and Christian Häuser),

Platz 2. Team „Neon“ (Charlotta Bogwardt, Kathrina Schmidt und Sophia Schmidt)

In the category Kata Team Children Female:

Platz 1. – Team „Neon“ (Charlotta Bogwardt, Kathrina Schmidt und Sophia Schmidt)
