Joshua Zirkzee (22) has been playing at FC Bologna since the summer of 2022, when he moved from Munich to Serie A for 8.5 million euros. With his performances this season, he has become the focus of some top clubs.

Why that?
In addition to the 8.5 million euro transfer fee, according to BILD information, Bayern also secured a repurchase option (20-25 million euros) as well as a resale share in the Zirkzee transfer.

Transfer insider Ekrem Konur now reports that Zirkzee is said to have attracted the attention of top Italian clubs Naples, Inter Milan and Juventus with his performances.
A change could be in the offing as early as January, which could then result in an unexpected windfall of money in Munich.
Good for Bologna and Bayern: the young Dutchman still has a contract until 2026 and has a market value of 30 million (transfermarkt.de). A transfer would probably be a costly undertaking for the receiving club.

Things are just going well for Zirkzee at the moment. Quarter-finals in the Coppa Italia, completely surprising fourth place in the league. Zirkzee played a large part in the Bologna soaring. He has already scored seven goals in 16 league games, plus another in the cup in a 2-0 win over Cesena in round one. In November he was named Serie A’s Player of the Month.

Zirkzee played his first professional games in 2019 under former Bayern coach Hansi Flick (58). His record for Munich: 17 games, four goals, one assist. He was never able to assert himself, after loans to Parma and Anderlecht he went to Bologna.
A change that could now be worthwhile for all sides.
