Jorge Cano Adds Another Medal to his International Collection at Champions League

Jorge Cano (Madrid, 1996) added a new medal to his international locker on December 9. The Valdemoro Judo Club teacher hung gold around his neck competing for OJK Belgrade in the Champions League, the European Club Championship.

His performance, like that of the other Spaniard at the event, Alberto Gaitero, was stellar. Cano managed to beat all his opponents at the Stark Arena, under the watchful eye of more than 8,000 attendees, contributing to his team’s victory with 4 victories and being one of the three competitors who took to the tatami in the final to win 3 -0 to Aris of Greece.

“It is a historic result for a humble club and in front of its fans,” declared the young man on his social networks, thanking OJK Belgrade for its trust and hospitality in the two previous days of training and during the competition. The title has helped him remove the thorn that he had had since his elimination in the group stage of the Tokyo Grand Slam, an individual competition in which he aspired to more.
