Jordi Amat ended his journey in the 2023/24 Asian Champions League (LCA) with a win after Johor Darul Takzim recorded a 4-1 victory over Thai representatives BG Pathum United at the Sultan Ibrahim Stadium, Tuesday (12/12), in the final matchday of Group I.
However, this victory was not enough for JDT to qualify for the Top 16, because in the other match at the Unsan Munsu Football Stadium, Ulsan Hyundai drew 2-2 against Kawasaki Frontale.

These results put JDT in third place in the final Group I standings with nine points. Ulsan, who is one point ahead of JDT, is in second place and has qualified for the Top 16.
In this match, Amat continued to appear as a starter, and played until the match was over. However, this was not the case with the captain’s armband which was wrapped around Amat’s arm.
Even though he led his teammates at the start of the match, the team captain changed after 15 minutes of the first half. Amat handed over the captain’s armband to Natxo Insa. The reason for the transfer of the captain’s armband is unknown.
