The Spanish Badminton Federation announced yesterday the list of players selected to represent Spain in the Spanish Open U17, the Benalmádena international, which will take place from February 2 to 4. Among the fifteen players who will be part of the call is the player from the A Estrada Badminton Club, Iziar Barcala, current Spanish champion of the category.
She is not the only Galician in this call, since she will be accompanied by her colleagues from the CGTD, Adrián Rodríguez, Xoel Álvarez. The Galician Inés Poncela will be in the U-15 call. The players will not be alone, since they will be accompanied by CGTD technicians Rafa Vázquez (U-15 coach) and Manu Brea from Estrada (U-17 coach), who are part of the Staff of the Spanish Badminton Federation.
The club congratulated the two Estradense players for this international call-up.
