Ingré Badminton Club Organizes First Eco-Responsible Promobad Tournament

The Ingré badminton club organized a first Promobad tournament, carried out using an eco-responsible approach, at the Coudraye gymnasium.

“For several years, we have been organizing a federal badminton tournament in an eco-responsible approach. This eco-tournament is generally held on the first or second weekend of March and we are already in the seventh edition,” indicates Mickaëla Leger, secretary of the Ingré badminton club and member of the organizing committee.

Used steering wheels and empty tubes will be recycled

“This year, we wanted to organize a first Promobad tournament. It is an official competition but more friendly. Three quarters of the licensees are beginners and the other quarter correspond to the first departmental level. We have no regional, no departmental, and it’s cooler,” say the organizers.

“In this eco-tournament concept, we are putting everything in place to show that the athlete can do selective sorting, less energy expenditure, carpooling, have less waste… We recover used steering wheels and empty tubes to send them to structures that recycle them. For glass bottles, we encourage athletes to place them in the bins provided for this purpose, explains Mickaëla Leger. Our goal is to motivate athletes so that they adopt eco-responsible actions in the practice of their discipline. »
