Herencia hosts a sporting event of great importance for regional handball. On December 6, 7 and 8, the teams of the Castilla-La Mancha Handball Federation (@fbmclm) will meet in the town to participate in the preparation days for the CESA 2024. This meeting is an exceptional opportunity for the young talents of this sport to prepare and show their skills.
The event will culminate on December 8 with an exciting triangular match between the teams of the Community of Madrid and Castilla y León. This meeting promises to be a high-level spectacle where the skills and strategies of the future talents of Spanish handball can be appreciated.
The heritage representation will be present in the Women’s Children’s and Women’s Youth categories, with the participation of outstanding local players. In the Women’s Nursery, we will have the presence of Aldara Elena Martínez, Claudia Fernández Toribio, Laura Martín Buitrago and Elena González. For its part, in the Women’s Youth, Herencia will be represented by Blanca Gómez Calcerrada and Arancha López Escribano.
These technical training days are an excellent opportunity for the promising young handball players of Castilla-La Mancha to prepare intensively for the CESA, one of the most important championships at the youth level in Spain. Furthermore, the presence of heritage players on these lists is a source of pride for the municipality, demonstrating the growing level and passion for this sport in the town.
From Herencia, we wish good luck to the entire La Mancha expedition. We hope that these days of preparation are fruitful and that important successes are achieved in the next CESA. The community is expectant and enthusiastically supports its athletes, predicting a bright future for women’s handball in Herencia and throughout Castilla-La Mancha.
