It stings, and a lot, among the fans of the Atlético de Madrid the celebration of Joao Felix in the goal he scored last Sunday against the colchoneros with the team’s shirt FC Barcelona, in the League match that both teams played at the Lluís Companys Olympic Stadium (1-0). Apparently, they consider this celebration in front of their former team too euphoric.
Or, rather, before the team to which Joao still belongs, since he is on loan to Barça until the end of the season and has a contract with Atlético until 2029. Although Everything indicates, except for catastrophe, that the Portuguese will never wear the red and white shirt againespecially while Diego Pablo Simeone stay on the bench.
The fact is that the criticism continues from the Colchonero side towards the Viseu player, whom the club’s supporters groups call “traitor” in a very harsh statement that came to light hours after the Montjuic match.
Joao Félix had a good night: he played 77 minutes, before being replaced by Ferran Torres, and in the 28th minute he scored the only goal of the game from a pass from Raphinha. A goal that he celebrated in a somewhat euphoric way, with a kiss included supposedly intended for the rival fans that did not sit well at all. Thus, the International Union of Atlético de Madrid Supporters Clubs does not hesitate to reproach the forward for this gesture with the following text: “If you wanted to offend, you didn’t do it. No one wants to offend but who can. If it was a farewell, good luck to you. You will join that select group of traitors that make up Hugo Sánchez, Courtois and some more. And if it’s because you can’t take more, then you already have enough.”

The mayor of Madrid himself, José Luis Martínez Almeida, spoke about the player’s performance: “The celebration didn’t bother me. First we have to look at ourselves because the first half was not good and the second was.” Shortly after, the councilor spoke about the player’s future: “Or we keep him and he makes the grade at Atlético de Madrid, like we all hoped, or leave a good amount of money“.
