[성남신문=성남신문] Okcheon-gun held a groundbreaking ceremony for the ‘Okcheon Multipurpose Sports Center’ at 3 p.m. on the 15th at 125 Samyang-ri, Okcheon-eup, Okcheon-gun.
The groundbreaking ceremony was attended by Okcheon County Governor Hwang Gyu-cheol, National Assembly member Park Deok-heum, Okcheon County Council Chairman Park Han-beom, county council members, provincial council members, heads of institutions, and residents.
The Okcheon Multi-Purpose Sports Center, scheduled to be completed in the first half of 2025, was selected as a sports promotion facility support project in 2021 and will be built with a total floor area of 5,288.99㎡, with one underground floor and three above-ground floors, with a total project cost of 18.2 billion won.
Equipped with a bowling alley (12 lanes), a badminton court (volleyball court), and convenience facilities, it will be reborn as a public sports facility that provides a healthy leisure life for residents.
County Governor Hwang Gyu-cheol said, “Okcheon Multipurpose Sports Center is expected to contribute to the revitalization of local sports through the construction of sports facility infrastructure such as bowling alleys, badminton, and volleyball courts, and to improving the health and quality of life of Okcheon residents.”
