Denver Nuggets wing Aaron Gordon is out indefinitely after being bitten by a dog on Wednesday.

Denver Nuggets power forward Aaron Gordon is out indefinitely after being bitten on the face and hand by a dog, the NBA franchise announced Wednesday.

Gordon “suffered lacerations to his face and hand from a dog bite on Dec. 25,” the team said in a short statement.

“Aaron’s condition is good and he will be unavailable for the team while he recovers,” Denver added. According to the news site The Athletic, the 28-year-old had 21 stitches.

With 16 points scored and 10 rebounds, Gordon participated in the victory of the Nuggets, reigning NBA champion, against the Golden State Warriors (120-114) in Denver on December 25.
