Fuchsia City’s Young Fighters Shine at Game Training Awards

During game training, the young fighters of the Fuchsia City compete against each other, and later there are awards. The girls particularly stand out.

The judokas of TSV Wemding honored the most successful young fighters of 2023 as part of the traditional “game training”. At the highlight of the evening, the winners of the youth rankings were announced by Mayor Dr. Martin Drexler and sports speaker Roland Schuster were honored.

The celebrations began with a sporting introduction. During game training, TSV Wemding’s young fighters have been competing against each other in entertaining competitions for decades. Youth leader Sophie Fischer and her coaching team came up with some entertaining games. Afterwards, Fischer was able to show how successful the Wemdinger judo youth had been in the past year in the course of various awards.

Together with sports speaker Roland Schuster, he honored the winners of the 2023 youth rankings. The children won points for the club’s internal ranking list in various competitions. The victory in the junior ranking went to Violetta Meinert, who had five tournament victories and numerous other successes this year. Behind them were Quinn Ellrich and Lea Kaufmann, no less successful, in second and third place. Kay Mayer, Jana Graf, Benno Eireiner, Anna Färber, Lina Lettenmeier, Josefine Brenner and Marlene Seidel also made it into the top 10.

Almost 40 young fighters took part in the Wemdinger Cup tournament and performed for weeks. The best were now honored with trophies. In the girls’ age group I (AK I), Josefine Brenner won ahead of Lina Lettenmeier and Marlene Seidel. In the AK II, Jana Graf, Violetta Meinert and Helmine Wurm were happy about places one to three. In the boys’ AK I category, Jonathan Kaiser won ahead of Jonas Kutscha and Henry Graf. For the older boys, Danny Heindle, Benno Eireiner and Kay Mayer were happy about the trophies.

Judo: Four girls are at the top in Wemding

Youth leader Sophie Fischer, together with sports officer Roland Schuster, also awarded the participants of this year’s judo safari with certificates. Almost 40 girls and boys took part in the German Judo Association competition in the fall and collected points in the disciplines “judo competition”, “athletics” and the “artistic area”. Depending on the number of points achieved, the judokas received badges ranging from the yellow kangaroo to the black panther, the highest badge. Lea Kaufmann, Violetta Meinert, Lina Lettenmeier and Josefine Brenner achieved the Black Panther. But all the other participants were also visibly proud of their achievements. (AZ)
