The French former winger, who worked magic for Munich from 2007 to 2019 and ended his playing career with the Italian club US Salernitana in October 2022, had previously used the facilities of his favorite club for an individual workout.
Afterwards, the Champions League winner was picked up by car from Säbener almost unnoticed. However, one lucky young fan recognized the legendary dribbler and got a selfie and an autograph shortly before he left.

Is there a Bayern comeback on the horizon?
There is currently nothing to indicate this. Ribéry is still under contract as part of the coaching team at his last professional club from Salerno and would like to take on a job as head coach in the future.

In the months after his retirement, things became quiet around Ribéry. Bayern’s former number seven still spends a lot of time in Munich and has always kept his villa there. During the international break in mid-September, he briefly stopped by his former employer and cheered on Manuel Neuer (37) during goalkeeper training.
On Wednesday, the fan favorite trained again at Säbener – it certainly brought back big memories…
