PADANG, RADARSUMBAR.COM – Semen Padang FC (SPFC) will play their final match in Group 1 Pegadaian Liga 2 2023/2024 against Persiraja Banda Aceh at the GOR Haji Agus Salim Padang Stadium, Sunday afternoon.

Semen Padang FC coach, Delfiadri, in the post match press conference session, Saturday (16/12/2023) said that all the players were preparing to play the match against the Laskar Rencong team.

“All the players have said they are ready. “As I said before, this is a match of pride, even though we have qualified for the top 12, we will avenge our defeat at home to Aceh in the first round,” he said.

Apart from that, Delfiadri also confirmed that four of his players could not be used in the match. Namely, Wiganda Pradika and Dimas Roni who were injured, then Agus Nova and Drey Panyalai who accumulated cards.

“But, we have Risna who is now able to enter into the team’s playing pattern. “Likewise in defensive midfielder, Dwiki has also started to tune in with the team,” explained Delfiadri.

According to Delfiadri, the match being held tomorrow is more about betting on the team’s pride. There is no overload, because both teams have confirmed their foothold in the round of 12.

“I still ask children to play seriously and avoid unnecessary mistakes,” he said.

When asked about Ikram, Delfiadri admitted that the Indonesian national team goalkeeper at the U-17 World Cup was still focused on combining his game with the team and increasing his flying hours.

“There is an option that we will use him as a reserve first before we deploy him. “Even though we are World Cup goalkeepers, we still look at the technical aspect of the team first, especially the mentality when playing in a professional league,” said Delfiadri.

Meanwhile, the captain of the Semen Padang FC team, Rosad Setiawan, said that all his colleagues were ready for tomorrow’s match. What is clear, all players will try their best to secure the three points.

“Tomorrow we have to work hard. This is a fight for pride and revenge for the defeat we suffered in Aceh. “Hopefully we can provide the best for fans, supporters and the people of West Sumatra,” he concluded. (rdr)
