Great results at the Judo Club Fornaci

FORNACI – The Regional Technical Commission’s call-up of two athletes from the Fornaci Judo Club, Enzo Gigli and Nicole Celli to the Nagaoka Trophy in Ljubljana (Slovenia) at the end of November brought important results to the minor national team.
The competition was reserved for athletes present in the national ranking of the Under EB, CA, Under 23 M/F categories. The two athletes from the Judo Club Fornaci fought in the Under 16 Beginners BM/F categories. Enzo took 7th place and Nicole 1st place, taking home the Gold Medal.
Important results, the result of intense training but also of a good journey: Enzo, son of Marco Gigli and Cristina Marsili and Nicole in recent months have kept the name of Italian Judo high in this last semester, dominating in the national field , the men’s and women’s sector.
It didn’t end here: Marco Gigli black belt 6th Dan white and red belt and Cristina Marsili 5th Dan black belt, confirmed themselves as first overall in their categories by winning the Italian Judo Master championships on Sunday 26 November at the Follonica Palasport. Undoubtedly they too have dominated this last four-year sporting period which is now at the end, which saw them at the top of the International Judo World Championships.
They will be awarded soon on the occasion of a Grand Gala at the FIJLKAM Federal Technical Center (Italian Federation of Judo Wrestling, Karate and Martial Arts) in Ostia, but also here, at the party on 22 December organized by the Judo Club Fornaci at the Eat Valley restaurant in Ghivizzano, thus closing, in the best way, the 60 years of life for the sport of the association, which began in 1963.
