Flood Levels Slightly Receding in Graf Adolf Straße, But Caution Remains

The flood level is currently falling slightly from 660cm yesterday to currently 631cm at the Graf Adolf Straße measuring point. This is a slight relief from the situation as it didn’t rain on Boxing Day and it should stay dry today too.
However, the all-clear cannot yet be given as further rain may fall in the next few days.
In addition, there are dammed-up water masses from Paderborn and Lippstadt in Lünen that can cause an increased water level. In the Langestrasse area, the 60 meter long flood protection wall is being built as a preventative measure.
Water levels will continue to be monitored.
