FC Bayern Munich is apparently interested in midfield talent Breno Bidon from traditional Brazilian club Corinthians.
According to the Brazilian news portal globoesporte.com, scouts for the German record champions recently observed the 18-year-old. In addition, FCB is said to have already contacted Bidon’s management.
The attacking midfielder is under contract with Corinthians until the end of January 2025. The transfer fee would probably be around 18.5 million euros.
The teenager would not be the first “Breno” on Säbener Straße: his compatriot Breno Vinícius Rodrigues Borges moved to Munich in 2008 as a super talent, but turned into a flop there, including a conviction for arson.
Corinthians’ Breno has been playing for the top club from São Paulo since he was 14 and signed his first professional contract in February 2022.
He is still waiting for his debut in the first team, but in June this year he was at least in the squad for the Copa Libertadores game against Liverpool FC Montevideo. Otherwise, Breno played for Corinthians U20 this year.
