Fabio Grosso demands money from OL

On November 30, Olympique Lyonnais announced the departure of Fabio Grosso, “taking into account the results obtained and after an in-depth analysis of the situation of the professional team, currently 18th in Ligue 1”. However, the Italian coach is not really finished with his former club.

In its Monday edition, Le Progrès indicates that Italy is demanding money from its short-lived employer, who has started a dismissal procedure while his contract, and that of his collaborators (deputy Raffaele Longo, the two preparers physical, Francesco Vaccariello and Vittorio Carello and the analyst Mauro Carretta), expired next June. A sum of between 1.5 and 2 million euros is mentioned.

During his time at the head of OL, the 46-year-old coach led seven matches, for one victory (against Rennes), two draws (against Lorient and Metz) and four defeats (against Brest, Reims, Clermont and Lille).
