DP World Tour Oosthuizen wins at Leopard Creek

Louis Oosthuizen won his 10th title on the DP World Tour this Monday at the Alfred Dunhill Championship, the end of the 4th round of which had been postponed due to bad weather (-18).

It was a given that a South African would win at home as Louis Oosthuizen, Charl Schwartzel and Bezuidenhout dominated the tournament. It remained to be seen which one. The prize was won by the first named, in the rain, this Monday morning, after some scares at the 18th since Louis Oosthuizen, who had approached the last hole with two strokes ahead of Charl Schwartzel, put his drive in the water before saving par via a downhill putt of a good five meters.

The South African thus won his 10th success on the DP World Tour, the first in this tournament: “It’s really a title that I wanted, at home. On the last drive, I don’t know what happened, I absolutely wanted to get to the left but I couldn’t. Charl played really well. I can’t even believe that we were able to go to the end of the tournament given the conditions we had for four days.”
