[마이데일리 = 심재희 기자] On the 7th, the Korea Sports Promotion Foundation (Chairman Cho Hyeon-jae), Motorcycle Racing Management Headquarters, donated 20 million won in support funds to improve the athletic performance of the university sports department and foster excellent sports talent at Dongyang University (President Lee Ha-un) in Yeongju-si, Gyeongsangbuk-do.
The Korea Sports Promotion Foundation’s Bicycle Racing Management Headquarters, which operates a bicycle racing training center located within the jurisdiction of Yeongju City, has provided subsidies to Dongyang University since 2016, greatly contributing to improving the athletes’ performance. The handover ceremony held on this day at Dongyang University’s president’s office was attended by several officials, including Kim Han-yong, director of the Integration Innovation Office of the Bicycle Racing Management Headquarters, and Dongyang University President Lee Ha-un.
The performance improvement support money delivered on this day will be used for the winter training expenses of the athletic department operated by Dongyang University and the purchase of training supplies. About 37 athletes are training in the sports department of Dongyang University in soccer, badminton, boxing, and track and field.
Kim Han-yong, head of the Integration and Innovation Department, said, “I hope that the support money delivered today will be a stepping stone for improving the performance of each event,” and pledged, “In the future, the Motorcycle Racing Headquarters will continue to provide steady support for coexistence with Dongyang University.”
