Didier Bès joins the Montpellier staff

Didier Bès returns to the MHR. Former hooker of the Hérault club (from 1990 to 2003) but also assistant coach of the first team and the Espoirs (from 2003 to 2014 then 2014-2015), the 57-year-old technician will join the staff of the current last of the Top 14 to bring his science of the melee. According to our information, Bès has indeed given his agreement. In the coming hours, he will sign an 18-month contract (until 2025) and will begin his new duties directly on Monday.

No victory since August

Without a club since his departure from LOU last summer, Bès joins the staff of Patrice Collazo, appointed two weeks ago, which includes Vincent Etcheto, for the back lines, Christian Labit, for the forward game and the attitudes to contact, and Antoine Battut, in charge of the touchline. Appointed by president Mohed Altrad, Bernard Laporte is the sporting director of Montpellier.

The MHR was defeated at home by Oyonnax (21-26) then at Bayonne (34-19) on Saturday since the ouster of Richard Cockerill and Jean-Baptiste Elissalde.
