Daniel Theis Gets “Shaqtin’ A Fool” Treatment After Game Mishap: A “Highlight” No Professional Wants

Basketball professionals are usually happy about TV presence. Especially when they make it into the popular top 10 highlights after a game day with spectacular dunks or blocks.

But there is a “highlight” show by and with NBA legend Shaquille O’Neal (51/won four championships with the LA Lakers and the Miami Heat) that no professional would want to find themselves in.

In “Shaqtin’A Fool,” the former center makes fun of strange actions or actions that went wrong. Shaq’s latest victim: our world champion center Daniel Theis (31).

Theis moved to the LA Clippers in November and had a good and successful first few weeks with coach Tyronn Lue’s team. In the game against the Portland Trail Blazers, however, Theis was played dizzy in a defensive action, led to the ice, or to put it another way: he looked pretty unhappy doing it.

Portland’s Shaedon Sharpe started quickly towards the basket from the three-point line, stopped abruptly, let the ball go through his legs and again in the opposite direction – and Theis wasn’t hot at all!

Our world champion lost control of his movement, fell backwards and was only able to stay on his feet with a lunge. The Americans call this an “ankle breaker” when the offensive player asks his opponent to dance like this.

Comment on “Shaqtin’A Fool”: “Ohhh, it’s almost Christmas, the season of giving. He gave his opponent an easy basket.” Followed by a graphic montage in which Theis was caught in a scene from the film “Home Alone” and slides down a slippery basement staircase. Whoever has the damage…

After all: The Clippers defeated Portland, won nine of their last ten games and are currently in sixth place in the Western Conference thanks to Daniel Theis (6.5 points & 4 rebounds per game).
