Dalton Kincaid a must-add after Dawson Knox injury: 3 TE streamers for Week 8

Buffalo Bills tight end Dalton Kincaid is a must-add player off the waiver wire for any fantasy football manager looking to stream a sleeper at the position in Week 8 of the 2023 NFL season.

Bills head coach Sean McDermott confirmed Monday that Kincaid’s teammate, TE Dawson Knoxis set to undergo surgery on his wrist, according to Alaina Getzenberg of ESPN. It’s unclear how long the injury will keep him out of action.

Kincaid, 24, will surely see a rise in targets as the team’s only tight end one game after recording a career-high 75 receiving yards on eight catches in Sunday’s loss to the New England Patriots. Bills host the Tampa Bay Buccaneers in Week 8 on Thursday Night Football.

As the only tight end selected in the first round of the 2023 NFL DraftKincaid is only improving each game, and the Bills don’t have a Bye until Week 13. He is rostered in less than 40% of teams.

Two other waiver wire options at tight end for FF

Patriots TE Hunter Henry (Bye Week 11) had two incredible weeks of fantasy football to start the season and has only regressed since then, though that’s only because the entire New England offense struggled.

In the team’s shocking win over the Bills, Henry saw a bit of a resurgence, and since he’s less than 35% rostered, it’s possible many managers have a shot at streaming him in Week 8 against the Miami Dolphins.

Arizona Cardinals tight end Zach Ertz (Bye Week 14) is less than 45% rostered, but pick him up now, because when quarterback Kyler Murray returns in the next couple of weeks, his value will increase.

Ertz, 32, hasn’t had any huge game because he is part of a tight end by committee rotation with two younger players, but the veteran still manages to consistently put up at least a handful of points. Cardinals host the Baltimore Ravens on Sunday.

Bonus FF option at tight end

Those who are extremely desperate and are just looking for a high-risk, high-reward streamer can look to New Orleans Saints THE Taysom Hillwho is less than 10% rostered and has a Bye in Week 11.

Hill, 33, is as boom-or-bust as it gets, coming off his first touchdown of the season, plus 50 receiving yards and 18 rushing, including the score, in Week 7.

He aligned in the slot on 27 snaps in Week 6, doubling his previous career-high. Saints visit the Indianapolis Colts in Week 8.
