The trip to Ancona gave six medals to the Judo section of Cus Macerata led by Maestro Laura Moretti. The PalaPrometeo actually hosted two separate competitions and the curtain opened with the 2nd edition of the “Città di Camerano” trophy, a national federal competition which saw Angelica Picciola competing in the rookie category B – 70kg. Despite her maximum effort she did not go beyond a third place which is indeed a great result, but perhaps a little narrow considering her high potential.
Then space for the youth event, the first “Angelo Montanari” Memorial Trophy. Here Cus celebrated thanks to Lorenzo Stacchiotti who climbed to the top step in the Children’s category. A silver also came from Rodrigo Palma in the Children’s category. Finally, three bronzes were awarded to Gregorio Barucca and Margherita Picciola in the Children’s category and Matilde Maria Mercuri in the Boys’ category. Among other things, Stefano Martin, the other technical teacher of the Cus, was summoned as president of the federal jury in Ancona.
