Construction of Second Archery Stadium in Auvergne Progressing as Altilgerian Club Expands

Work is progressing in Beauzac for the construction of an archery stadium, the second of its kind in Auvergne.

Between the crèche and the stadium, along the Bois de la Garenne, a crane is installed for an extraordinary project: that of the construction of an archery stadium, indoor and outdoor.

Inside, a stand 18 meters wide and 30 meters long will allow for warm shooting. Outside, a 70 meter long grassy area will be accessible. Archers will also be able to combine indoor and outdoor. They will be able to shoot from behind cover and aim at targets outdoors, thanks to a system of loopholes.

The equipment will thus be able to accommodate 18 to 24 archers simultaneously, depending on whether they are indoors or outdoors. On the building, whose roof will form a wave shape, photovoltaic panels will be installed and will provide the stadium with electricity for complete autonomy thanks to its 100 kilowatts peak.

As for the construction site, the schedule is currently on schedule. Delivery is scheduled for July 2024 in anticipation of the resumption of training for the Archers de la Jeune Loire in September 2024. The club, which has 80 licensees, will thus position itself on a single site. Until then, training takes place in Monistrol, Sainte-Sigolène and Saint-Didier-en-Velay.

After the Vichy stand, this archery stadium will be the second in Auvergne, further positioning the Altilgerian club as a reference.
