One day after Cologne’s one-year transfer ban became known, Olimpija Ljubljana published a very explosive document on the club’s homepage.
Content: Two weeks before the hearing at the International Court of Arbitration for Sport (CAS), Cologne offered the Slovenian club 750,000 euros so that Ljubljana would change its statement! A written statement is also shown as evidence!

FC Cologne Dr. Carsten Wettig and the managing director Mr. Christian Keller. The aim of the meeting was to reach an agreement on compensation for Potočnik. 1. FC Köln has submitted a written offer of €750,000.00.”

“Cologne has offered compensation if NK Olimpija makes a false statement to the CAS and declares that the immediate termination was justified,” said Ljubljana managing director Igor Barisic (50) at the end of November.
Keller countered to BILD at the time: “The bribery accusation is complete nonsense. We do not comment beyond that.” Keller did not respond to BILD’s query as to whether there was an attempt to reach an agreement.
Ljubljana has placed a heavy burden on him with the new allegations and documents…
That’s what it’s about: The trouble started in January 2022. At that time, Slovenia’s top talent Jaka Cuber Potocnik (19) first terminated his contract with Ljubljana within two days and then signed with FC.

Ljubljana complained that the termination was not legally binding and accused the FC of having instigated Potocnik to breach the contract. Fifa agreed with the club in March and imposed a transfer ban on Cologne over two transfer periods, which was finally suspended in May due to the FC protests in front of the CAS. The block has been active again since Thursday…
At a press conference on Friday afternoon in the Geißbockheim in Cologne, Keller was confronted with the current accusation from Slovenia. His reaction? “The accusation is completely absurd. Fortunately, there is also written evidence of this,” explained Keller.
