Cincinnati Bengals Beat Jacksonville Jaguars in Overtime, Trevor Lawrence Injured

The Bengals had great fortune to beat the Jaguars in overtime who lost Trevor Lawrence to a chilling ankle injury. Jake Browning was Cincy’s quarterback on a magical night where he surpassed 300 yards and a pass to the end zone.

On the other hand, Jacksonville returned to be home on Monday Night Football after two years, and fortune was not on its side to fall in one of the most surprising defeats of the season.

The Bengals’ victory came with a field goal with less than two minutes in overtime and with drama included, as a handkerchief flew, but it was a punishment for unsportsmanlike conduct against Jags and thus the victory of Cincinnati.

Jake Browning threw for 354 yards and a touchdown in the second start of his career, and the Cincinnati Bengals they surprised the Jacksonville Jaguars 34-31 in overtime on Monday night.

Browning also ran for a score when the Bengals (6-6) won on “Monday Night Football” for the first time since 1990 with a 48-yard field goal from Evan McPherson in the extra frame. This was shocking and potentially costly for the Jaguars (8-4), who lost quarterback Trevor Lawrence due to a right ankle injury late in the fourth quarter.

Left tackle Walker Little stepped on Lawrence’s ankle, causing him to sprain it while being sacked. Lawrence tried to get up, but fell to the ground, took off his helmet, and threw it away in disgust. They helped him off the field and into the tunnel for x-rays.
