Chiefs to Activate Mecole Hardman for Sunday’s Game Against Bengals

The Chiefs plan to activate Mecole Hardman for this Sunday’s game against the Cincinnati Bengals.

KANSAS CITY, Mo. — Kansas City Chiefs plan to activate wide receiver Mecole Hardman from injured reserve in time to play this Sunday’s game against the Cincinnati Bengals, sources revealed to ESPN’s Jeremy Fowler.

The Chiefs will play the Bengals without Kadarius Toney, who will miss his second consecutive game due to a hip injury. Toney is the Chiefs’ second-leading receiver with 27 receptions.

Hardman has not played since the Week 11 game against the Philadelphia Eagles due to a flea injury.r. He played the last four seasons with the Chiefs before signing last offseason with the New York Jets.

He was traded back to the Chiefs in time to play in a Week 7 game against the Los Angeles Chargers. In four games with the Chiefs this season, Hardman has eight receptions for 41 yards.

He had one reception for six yards in four games for the Jets.
