There cannot be Christmas in Burgos without Nativity Scene in the Pozo Azul. The members of the Delfín Club already have everything prepared to place the traditional nativity scene at the bottom of the well.
On this occasion, the multi-time martial arts champion Jesús Ibáñez Martínez will be the protagonist of the event. He will be, as indicated by the Delfín Club, on his own merits, by accumulating a spectacular sporting career.
His record includes two Brazilian Jiu Jitsu world championships (2018 and 2019), as well as five Kenpo Karate world championships, three in 2021 (the first competitor in the history of the world championships to win gold in all three modalities) and two in 2023.
Ibáñez also has six European Jiu Jitsu championships, fourth no gi (2016, 2018, 2019 and 2020) and second gi (2019 and 2020), as well as five NAGA championships (2019, 2020, 2021, 2022 and 2022).
Additionally, he is the first Burgos native to obtain a black belt in Brazilian Jiu Jitsu, he has a black belt in Judo and Sambo, he has been nominated eight times for best athlete from Burgos and is co-founder of the Burgos Fighting Federation. Almost nothing.
Given all this achievements, the members of the Delfín Club have decided that Ibáñez is the right person to take over from the firefighting teams, protagonists of the descent of Belén last year.
