The Real Madrid infirmary has a new tenant as of today. Dani Carvajal will not play again until 2024 after suffering against Granada an injury to the soleus of his left leg. This has been revealed by the medical tests he underwent this morning. His loss joins a long list of injuries including Courtois, Militao, Tchouaméni, Camavinga, Modric, Arda and Vinicius.
Carvajal, who is having one of his best seasons, was injured last Saturday against the Granada, a match in which he was replaced at half-time by Lucas Vázquez, the other right back of the white team. He will miss four games, three in the League (Betis, Villarreal and Alavés) and the Champions League game against Unión Berlin.
The objective of Carvajal is to be ready for the return of the League, after the Christmas holidays, and for the Spanish Super Cup, in which the whites will face Atlético in the semi-finals on January 10 and, if they advance to the final, to Barcelona or Osasuna.
