Caroline Wozniackithe champion of the Australian Open in 2018, has been the first non-Australian tennis player to receive an invitation to the main draw of the first major in 2024 (January 14 to 28).
Wozniacki, 242nd in the WTA at 33 years oldreturned to the professional circuit last summer after three seasons away in which gave birth to her first two children: Olivia and James.
The Dane, who returns with the motivation to defend her country at the Paris Olympics, already reached the round of 16 of the US Open last season, stopped by champion Coco Gauff.
Besides Caroline the Australians James Duckworth, Marc Polmans, Adam Walton, Kimberly Birrell, Olivia Gadecki and Taylah Preston have also been invited to the main draw.
