Camille Lacourt, David Douillet… The world of sport at Auschwitz in January for “a humanist journey”

It won’t be the happiest trip of their lives, but it might be the most inspiring. Next Sunday, January 14, around thirty former athletes and federation leaders will discover the horror and immerse themselves in the history of the Second World War by visiting the Auschwitz-Birkenau concentration and extermination camps.

Invited by former basketball player Richard Dacoury and Pierre Fraidenraich, president of the sports commission of the Representative Council of Jewish Institutions of France (Crif), these sports players want to send a message of tolerance and the fight against violence and discrimination.
