The teams for 2024 continue to be put together. And Cameron Norrie has added a new coach to his team as he looks to regain form in 2024.

Australian Stephen Huss, who won the Wimbledon men’s doubles title with Wesley Moodie In 2005, he will work alongside Norrie’s head coach, Facundo Lugones.

The British number one struggled during the second half of the season, losing 12 of his 16 matches after being eliminated in the second round at Wimbledon.

Norrie confirmed to the agency PA: “I will be doing 10 to 12 weeks with him, more weeks of training, to help me, to help Facu and simply to keep things fresh and have a different eye. “I don’t know him very well, but I’ve heard a lot of good things about him and I think he will be very good for the team in general.”

Norrie has worked with Argentinian Lugones, whom he met while studying at Texas Christian University, throughout his professional career.

“It was both of our ideas, but more so of Facu,” Norrie said. “I think it’s key to keep things fresh with your coach. I travel a lot with Facu. “We’ve never had any problems with that, but I think it’s good to have someone else.”

Meanwhile, Norrie began his preseason walking through the snowy French mountains and staying in a motor home. “They want to test me a little. I’ve never really seen the mountains there.

“I love walking, but I’ve never done a very long walk before. I bought some new shoes this week to prepare for that. We checked the weather and it was -12, so I also have a big jacket. We’ll bring some food, some tea and play cards. “It must be good.”
