Calgary Flames’ Rasmus Andersson Cheers on Brother at Spengler Cup in Switzerland

The traditional Spengler Cup is once again taking place in Davos, Switzerland these days. The international tournament also employs current NHL greats. Rasmus Andersson, the Calgary Flames defender, watches the HC Davos games with particular interest.

There is a special reason for this: his brother Dennis Rasmussen, himself a former NHL player (Chicago Blackhawks, Anaheim Ducks), is currently lacing up his skates for the club, which this year, after a 4:3 nV against Frölunda in the Semi-finals, in the final of the tournament for the first time since 2012.

After Flames practice on Saturday, the Flames defenseman openly revealed his pride in his brother. “Of course I try to see as much as possible from there. My brother is obviously very successful. I’m very happy for him. The self-confidence he gains there will do him good. The Spengler Cup is one of the tournaments that I personally really like. I’m very proud that he’s doing it so well. My father sent me a few videos from there. The family obviously really enjoys their time there.”
