At 1:48 p.m. on the 22nd, a fire broke out in a bus carrying 28 people, including disabled badminton players and their guardians, at the Inje sleepy rest area on the Seoul Yangyang Expressway toward Seoul. When the fire broke out, bus driver A (61) immediately put out the fire using a fire extinguisher.

It is reported that the passengers used a large bus from the Hongcheon Fire Department, traveled to the Hongcheon Rest Area, and then returned home safely using another bus.

Police and fire authorities believe the fire started in the bus’ heating system and are investigating the exact cause of the fire.
