The canceled Bundesliga game between FC Bayern Munich and Union Berlin will be played next year on January 24, 2024 at 8:30 p.m. The DFL and the two clubs announced this on Tuesday. After the game was canceled on Saturday morning, the clubs, TV broadcasters and DFL quickly got together and agreed on the new date for 2024.
There is no gap in the tight schedule until Christmas, as both FC Bayern and Union still have to complete the last group game day in the Champions League and an English week in the Bundesliga is on the agenda shortly before the holidays.

Bayern have three home games in a row
FC Bayern will play at home three times in a row after the short winter break. Bayern will first face Hoffenheim on Friday evening, January 12th, then host Werder Bremen on Sunday, January 21st, before playing a catch-up game against Union three days later. For the Köpenickers, however, the opposite picture emerges: After the away games in Freiburg (January 13th) and Mainz (January 19th), Union at least has two days more regeneration time before the catch-up game against the record champions.
According to FC Bayern, the tickets for the game remain valid. The club also wants to promptly inform all ticket holders who cannot attend the rescheduled date about the return modalities. The tickets for the guest block are an exception: Union has already notified the holders of the guest tickets about the cancellation. There will be a new pre-sale for the catch-up game.
