Bills and Steelers Secure Victories in Week 16 NFL Action

Less flashy than previous seasons, the Buffalo Bills however repositioned themselves in the qualification for the NFL play-offs, Saturday in the advanced match of the 16th day of the regular season. The New York State franchise won against the Los Angeles Chargers (24-22), out of contention for the final stages, thanks to a field goal scored 28 seconds from the end of the match.

Josh Allen, Buffalo’s strongman

Josh Allen, the quarterback of the Buffalo Bills, was the main architect of his team’s victory, the third in a row, with a thrown touchdown and two others scored on the run.

The Pittsburgh Steelers remained on three consecutive defeats, jeopardizing their chances of participating in the play-offs, after a good season. But they got back on track on Saturday, clearly beating the Cincinnati Bengals (34-11). Jake Browning, the Cincinnati QB, who replaces Joe Burrow, injured and out until the end of the season, attractive for several weeks, disappointed this time (three interceptions conceded).

Mason Rudolph, mission successful

Pittsburgh fielded its third quarterback of the season, after Kenny Pickett (injured) and Mitchell Trubisky (disappointing). Mason Rudolph accomplished his mission, throwing two long touchdown passes (86 and 66 yards) to his receiver George Pickens.

Thursday, at the opening of the 16th day, the Los Angeles Rams beat the New Orleans Saints (30-22). They are currently among the seven teams qualified for the National Conference play-offs. Ten NFL matches will be played on Sunday – including a nice clash between Miami and Dallas – and three on Monday, including San Francisco – Baltimore, the clash of the leader of each conference.
