Willich (NRW) – A stroke a year ago opened his eyes. Bert Wollersheim (72) radically changed his life, stopped smoking and eats (mostly) healthily. His Ginger (37) even gave the ex-red light king a heart attack alarm watch! So that it doesn’t hurt, Wollersheim has now had a stent placed in his carotid artery.
Because the arteries were 50 or 70 percent blocked with deposits!

“I’m fine,” said the reality star (“Where Love Falls”) to BILD. He posted a photo of himself from the clinic on Facebook with tubes over his tanned chest. “I had to stay in the hospital for four days. Everything went smoothly.” A stent will soon have to be inserted into the other side.

“Both carotid arteries had been cleaned a year ago, but now there was debris left. We don’t know exactly why,” Wollersheim tells BILD and jokes: “I probably put too many prawns in my figure – cholesterol is poison.”
Before the operation he “almost wanted to go home”. So many risk factors were listed to him. It was only in September that Wollersheim spent an agonizing time in the hospital because he could no longer swallow and his fever had risen to over 41 degrees.

Now Wollersheim is back home in his love nest in Willich near Düsseldorf. Only one is missing: his fourth wife Ginger (37)… “She is currently in Turkey on business,” explains the trained hairdresser. And you notice that he misses her. “I get along well here. It’s not quite that bad. It’s also nice that I miss her,” he says with a smile.

So Wollersheim (has two children) waits for his Ginger and takes it easy on Advent. “I’m doing so well that I’ll quickly get on Ginger’s nerves again with my liveliness!”
