Bayern Munich corrects Stuttgart with a double from Harry Kane in the Bundesliga

A week after its humiliation on the field of Eintracht Frankfurt (1-5), Bayern Munich bounced back at home by in turn correcting Stuttgart this Sunday. Thomas Tuchel’s men achieved a convincing success (3-0) which could have been much heavier without a good Nübel, particularly decisive in the first period.

Bayern opened the scoring very early in the match, barely two minutes after the kick-off by the essential Harry Kane. Served by Leroy Sané, the Englishman scored his 19th goal of the season (2nd). Bayern therefore completely dominated the first period, and it was almost miraculously that Stuttgart entered the locker room at the break with only a goal behind, Kim Min-Jae (24th) and Thomas Müller (45th + 2) having seen their goals disallowed for offside positions.

Kane and Kim decisive

After half-time, Kane scored twice with a header following a free kick from Pavlovic also extended with a header by Kim (55th). Kane has now been involved in 32 goals in 21 matches played for Bayern this season (24 goals, 8 assists). Kim sealed the score by scoring from a corner with a header, allowing his team to take the lead (63rd).

In the standings, Bayern – which has a game in hand – remains second, four points behind the leader, Bayer Leverkusen, winner a little earlier of… Eintracht Frankfurt (3-0).
