Bayer Leverkusen was the only club to complete the UEFA Europa League group stage flawlessly. The German Bundesliga club celebrated their sixth win in their sixth game on Thursday in a 5-1 goal festival against Norwegian Cup winners Molde FK. Only ten teams had previously achieved the optimal result of 18 points in the preliminary round; Arsenal last achieved it in 2020. FC Salzburg had completed the Europa League group phase flawlessly three times (2009, 2013 and 2019).

Liverpool lose at Saint-Gilloise
In LASK Group E, Liverpool with a B team lost 2-1 to Union Saint-Gilloise in Anderlecht. The Belgians were clearly the more dangerous team against coach Jürgen Klopp’s team, who had already won the group, and deservedly took the lead through Mohamed Amoura (32nd).
